Bongo and the Point

About Me

"Usually, I am a man of very few words; and in conclusion I'd like to say..."
- Colonel Jack O'Neill, Stargate SG-1
My name is Bree, and I will be your tour guide.
For as long as I can remember there has been music, and it goes back farther than that. Music written, sung, and recorded all around me.
Growing up, I thought everyone could sing. That's just what people do, right? People live in RVs or school buses and they sing, and that's the way it is. They also build giant aviaries on top of the cabinets in their buses, but that's another story. The point is, life was very unique and very musical, and that's the way I liked it.
So it's no surprise that years later my sister Elfin and I would be joining forces with our parents to continue the musical heritage.
The family quartet has been slowly building up a repertoire since the beginning of the year. Our material is comprised of covers of songs by those such as The Beatles, The Hollies, and Rick Nelson, along with a spattering of original music. We've been playing local gigs at places such as Rockwells Coffee Brewery in Lindale, and for a few other parties and gatherings.
Jim and Dee have several projects in the works:
The Selfish Giant is a rock opera based on a short story of the same name by author/playwrite Oscar Wilde. The opera is completed, but they have yet to find a venue for it.
Play With Me 1, 2, 3 is an old kids album of theirs that they have revisited and rerecorded with Elfin as vocalist and front-man. Currently we are working on producing a music video for one of the songs.
The Band - Ah, yes. This is why we're here on myspace! Please feel free to send us a message if you're interested in bookings, or just want to know more about us or the band.

Jim and Dee currently live in East Texas on 10 acres in the country. Jim works from his studio at home, recording and producing, while Dee works both at home and as a department head on the base of a local ministry called Mercy Ships. They are the parents of three daughters.
Elfin lives with husband, Cliff Morgan, in Van Texas along with her three children, Micah, Joli and Braeden.
Bree, youngest daughter, is living at home and working on illustration and character design, among other things, out of her art studio.
