If I was in control of the country, I would change the educational system to include mandatory music and art education as well as Spanish and French lessons from the kindergarten level through high school. At least that is where I would start... Too many ignorant people out there who don't have a clue about music other than what is spoon fed by the media and pop charts, and too many people who don't know one iota of another language and don't care. If people opened up to other languages more often, I think a greater understanding of other countries and cultures would exist, and fewer people in other countries would have the view of Americans as idiots.
