Hmm...I'm 18 years old, live in Sydney and I'm studying Medicine at UNSW. I love reading, listening to music (plenty of styles... pretty eclectic, really) sleeping, beaching (in order to tan as well as go swimming if the water is nice) and chilling with friends.I go to St James Anglican Church in Croydon and have done so since 2000... I can't exactly put my finger on when I became a Christian but I'd say somewhere in late primary school. I hope and pray that my life reflects the fact that I follow Jesus as my Saviour and want to glorify God for who He is and everything He's given me (completely undeservedly!).I'm addicted to the internet and my phone has been called an 'extension of my hand'. Never really got into watching TV, because it was a form of time-wasting that was obvious to everyone else in the house.I used to be a debater and now only wish to partake in debating activities if substantial amounts of money are involved, mostly because keeping up to date with current affairs takes far too much effort otherwise.I also used to play the violin and be in an orchestra, but those days are sadly past. However my classical music training has greatly impacted upon my enjoyment of art music. You can see the left column for a full list of my music tastes, however to sum it up, it involves: art music, musical theatre, old school, dance stuff (but NOT techno) as well as alternative slightly emo bands. I refuse to be ashamed of any music I like... I will embarrassedly admit to having S Club 7, Britney and the Spice Girls on my iPod, but that's about it. Everything else is a very large part of who I am. Deal with it!Going out is fun-ish if I'm in the right mood to get happy from being drunk. If I'm not, the noise and headache makes loud bars/etc completely insufferable. Drinking in general is fairly amusing if you're with the right people... It can be plain embarrassing or boring if you're not.In order to take on each day I must be armed with clean, shining hair, a freshly Listerined mouth, and a hint of some classy fragrance (Beyond Paradise and Ralph Blue/Romance being among my favourites). If it's a particularly taxing day, a full face of make-up may be required to boost up that self-confidence.I enjoy owning and wearing nice clothes and shoes but feel incredibly guilty after spending copious amounts of money on such items. The next thing on my "to buy" list is a new pair of light blue skinny jeans... I just need to be able to convince myself that I need them (as opposed to simply 'want' them).Hopefully I will learn to save money at some point in time (probably around the same time I learn to cook, do a load of washing, and generally be independent instead leeching off my parents all the time). Currently I am balancing debating coaching "jobs" and a stint as a receptionist with my erratic and rather consuming degree.I have a beautiful, brilliant and eccentric little sister who I adore and think is hilarious... I am extremely grateful she was born 4 years after me and lives in my shadow instead of vice versa, otherwise I'd have massive insecurity issues. My parents are great (dad's a doctor, mum helps out with the surgery) and for the most part we all get along swimmingly well.I have a wonderful group of schoolfriends and another great group of uni friends who are fascinating in their own ways... Both groups are blasts to hang out with and get smashed with. Both groups are also very multicultural, a fact which I'm sure my UNSW interviewer thought was a lie back in September 2005. Finally, both groups are ridiculously, ridiculously intelligent.Hmm... And I've just spent WAY too much time talking about myself.
