Biography:
Kaz started out as a drum n bass artist in the late 90’s under the name ej*Q. As a member of pHluid ( www.phluid.org ) he released an average of three songs monthly along with his cohorts, with a good number of listeners. Through the years this style and influence stayed with him as he progressed into a more alluring culture – hip-hop.
In the local hip-hop scene Kaz has been known more for his audio production and artistic talents as oppose to his flow. His first production credits that made it to album were on The Spitz’ debut album entitled Twisted Spitz on Flatline Rekords . On that project he was proud to do all of the photography and design layout, and he carried over that tradition to their next CD entitled Flatline in which he also has production credits on.
Always considering himself more of a producer than an artist has been hard, especially with the recognition that has come about in recent years due to his unique wordplay and visual subject matter, but Kaz is proud now to be in the business he’s in as a “one man armyâ€. If there is anything that needs to be done, from production, recording, mastering, engineering, photographed, designed, printed, etc… he is the man to talk to.
Artists Kaz has worked with include: The Spitz (Jawz and Discreet), DJ Blasta, Capaciti of Hecatomb, Savage Christ, Angry MoFo, Plague (AU), Resurrector, Cadaeu, Lawson, Megatron of Hecatomb, and more.
Current Projects:
Kaz - Tell Your Friends (debut album)
Jawz - The Forest (debut solo album)
