About Me
The Beatles, Frank Zappa and Nina Hagen were some of the artists that he grew up with.
Discovering percussion was a stroke of good fortune and he fell in love with at once.
At this time, he started playing with friends in party, shaping his hands all the night.
Impressed by Ray Baretto (Fania All stars) and Don Alias (with Jaco Pastorius) playing salsa and jazz music, he decided to learn afro-caribean drum with Jacques Tellitocci he had just met.
Besides, he started working with a brass-band, theater, pop and salsa bands, and became professional in 2000.
On the way, he opened his mind to new disciplines such as improvisation, dance and foleying (sound-effects in movies).
Later, he travelled to Cuba and went to Paris (Abanico’s School) to deepen his knowledge.
Milian “Gali†Rivieri, Xavier Campos, Miguel “Anga†Diaz, George Delgado, Gustavo Ovalles and Nan Mercader tought him lessons and many training courses.
Meetings and collaborations built up and forged his experience.
Since 2000, he has performed with: Mare Sanogo (Mali), Leon Parker (USA), Tete (France), Ulysses Piedra (Peru), Eddy Lagooyatch (France), Maria Tejada (Ecuador), Niwer Navarro (Cuba), Nilda Fernandez (France),…
At present, he works as musician with Li(Luo) for a new buto dance show, he has just played in Paris.
