"Krikston" – is so called one-man-project founded by Vitaly Pereladov – a musician from Yekaterinburg city (Russia, Ural).
“Krikston’s†music is inspired by influence of various bands to what Vitaly listened during various his life periods: Mogwai, Tiamat, the Cure, King Crimson etc. Every band was remembered by its original sound, but the bands playing thoughtful, melancholic guitar music were more close to Vitaly’s spirit. This music reflects in every “Krikston’s†song. And, as it was known later, this music was called “post–rockâ€.
Autumn 2006 year, “Krikston†recorded his first album “Totally One†that included early songs composed under influence of Tiamat, Radiohead and Mogwai.
In the next year (2007) “Krikston†recorded his second instrumental album “BPNLK†on what the most of tracks represented a “pure†post-rock in its classical variant with a touch of electronics. The song "After a Rain" from "BPNLK" is placed on MySpace.com.
At that year (2007), having united forces with his friendly one-man-project “Krobak†(Ukraine, Sverdlovsk), “Krikston†released the split “Structura Torturaâ€. This split included a few songs from “BPNLK†album and the new 15-minutes “epic†song “Art Saves/Killsâ€. The split was highly appreciated and reviewed by resources such as "ProgArchives.com",
“HeathenHarvestâ€, "ProgressiveEars" etc.
The composition “Art Saves/Kills†(placed on MySpace.com) is the beginning of the new “Krikston’s†creative period. This is the birth of the new sound based on post- and prog-rock mixing. And the first result of this experimental search is the new album “A moth in the headlights†that is going to release in soonest time!!!
