Open Minded Music started in 2003 to put on quality events music across Essex.
Over the past 6 years we have put on over 100 events in Witham and across Essex, undertaking both self-promoted events, and working with other promoters and production teams. All our events are run by music fans, for music fans. In our time we’ve done community centres, town halls, fields, parks, pub back rooms and licensed venues- you name it we’ll book it!
Most of our gigs currently are at the Spring Lodge Centre, Witham- which is a 260 capacity all ages venue, with a fully engineered 5k PA and 6k of lighting! In the past year we've worked with stacks of great bands, including: Fei Comodo, TAT, We are the Ocean, Forever Never, Koopa, Kenai, Civilian, The New Town Kings, Multi-purpose chemical, Deaf Havana, Never Means Maybe, Sanctorum, From Almost the End & many many more!!
As well as self-run shows, OMM has also provided PA and lighting for many other events, and has supported and worked with several other local music/event companies on larger events, including the Real Music Festival in Maldon, the Thurrock Music Festival and Witham Fireworks Night.
As OMM is a part-time, not-for-profit organisation, the majority of our staff are volunteers and any profits made are invested into future events, new equipment or shared back amongst bands or our team. We can also provide PA/lighting & security for any event from 50 people to 5000! we now can do disco's too so if your doing a show and need the technical stuff sorted let us know!!
