Hello. So I teach acting. I've been teaching for the past 3 1/2 years. There are two different classes I teach. The first is an on-going class that focuses on each individuals growth. We do a lot of exercises as well as scene study, monologues, cold reads but the focus is always on each individuals growth... It is a classroom and everyone there is there to learn... to grown... to understand more about themselves for their work and develop skills to use what they find....the second acting class I teach is an 8 week workshop I call THE ACTING PROCESS which I do about twice a year.... the focus in this workshop is practical experience. I take actors through the process of acting in an independent film. I create a very real environment for you to put to practice all the skills you've learned.1st class - AUDITION - I create a real audition situation with original material. Auditions are all taped and then we watch them back and talk about them. But to be clear, I do not allow other students to comment on other students work.2nd, 3rd, 4th class - Rehearsals5th, 6th, 7th class - Shoot on location, Watch Dailies, Observe Editing process.8th class - SCREENING!!!! - yes, I organise a screening for you and your friends and people I know in the business. It is not a showcase! I keep the focus on YOU experiencing your work on the big screen with an audienc. That doesn't mean ohter filmmakers and actors won't be there or agents or casting directors.AT THE END - YOU WALK AWAY WITH A DVD OF YOUR EDITED SCENENEXT SESSION will be begin at the beginning of MARCH, 2007the scenes on the video below are scenes from this workshop.
