Marshall is the brother of the didjeridu master Darryl Dikarrna. He has danced in ceremony with Darryl since early childhood. As family ties are all important in traditional culture Marshall’s presence as the newest member of the group strengthens and consolidates the company identity.
This network of relationships is highly characteristic of traditional culture and deepens the sense of collective ownership of the group’s artistic output. Highly skilled in the rhythmic use of the clapsticks Marshall leads the performances through his detailed knowledge of the corroboree songs.
