D.Smiley

I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1988 to Mr. and Mrs.Smiley at the time. When I was 3 years of age we then moved to Texas so my parents could have better job opportunites then they were getting in the city.A few months after we moved to Texas my parents split up because one of them did wrong, I dont know who and could really care less about who did it. I then had to live with my mom cause she was the one with custody of me at the time. I didnt see my father for about the first 6 months of their divorce, for whatever reason I do not know. From the ages of about 4 till I was 13 my mom and I moved from place to place to place to place. Going from school to school from friends to friends never getting grounded anywhere. I have lived in the whole DFW area and more in the hood and the burbs thats just how life went for me at that age.When I was 13 I also had my dad file for custody of me which he got and then we moved to a place in Lewisville called The Colony where I finished off my middle school and high school careers. during this time at about the age of 15 is when I discovered my passion for music and I started recording with a good friend of mine named Young-1 (Antonio Young) who I formed a group with which we called ourselves 2 United and decided to create our own label which I now run called Triple R Ent which stands for Real Recognize Real. we did not take music serious until we got a little older and started getting some notice. At 18 I graduated from The colony High School and am now in college at Unt because I have to have a back up plan to music lol. While in my freshman year Young-1 and I split up from 2 United and went our separate ways which brings me to now and me being, On My Own.Now I have bought my own studio set up that I run and record at and other artist such as Supa C-Watts, L.A.W and artist like Lil' Ant record at. I recently dropped my first "official" mixtape called "On My Own" on October 16,2008 which is downloadbale in my blog as will all other mixtapes. Just dropped my first single called "Swimmin in You" ft Funky Town's Finest Supa C-Watts. I will be making and constantly working on many mixtape overtime droppin 2-3 every month because i truly believe that hard work pays off.Up until now in my music career I have been known for m any things especially being a versatile artist and very diverse in how I do music. I take any and every beat and make it my own as eveyone should. I have also been know for my hard work always writing lyrics and recording tracks and what I am going for is to drop 2-3 mixtapes every month. World look at D.Smiley is on the rise and is very hungry.... HaHaaaaaaaaa!!!!!D.Smiley
