Looking for a new Bassist, Message us.

About Me

Sour Sugar formed in 2005 – the original line up consisted of Jamie Sandison on Guitar, James Grant on Bass and Kevin Newham on Drums. For reasons unknown, Kevin Newham left the band, only for Grant Salmon to take his place on drums.James Grant left the band to concentrate on his main project, ‘By-End’ who can be chekced out by going to www.myspace.com/byend.By-End usually play venues around the Hayes/Hillingdon area, so if you get a chance to see them, do it!Nicky Hatten replaced James on bass shortly after his departure. Grant and Nicky have been in numerous bands together over the years, so Nicky was the ideal replacement for James. So the current line-up is Jamie Sandison on Guitar, Nicky Hatten on Bass & Grant Salmon on the drums. Sour Sugar are currently in the process of writing new material – at the moment they are playing a mix of originals and extreme adaptations of other peoples tunes. They are looking to play any sort of venue – eventually looking to move into the London bar scene and get themselves known.Sour Sugar are planning on working with a few promotion companies, mainly A & E Promotions (set up by Ben, drummer of Impinge) to bring back the music scene to Hayes/Hillingdon Uxbridge. Also Generator Promotions are looking rather sweet too :) They hurl a big thanks out to Hughie & the gang for setting up the regular gigs down the Crown & Treaty, and the Fox & Pheasant pubs as it has given them a great starting point.Sour Sugar play a strong blend of rock, blues and jazz. Strongly influenced by a number of different artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix & Chuck Berry.
