My Youtube Videos!!
I've played piano, well... known how, and was a committed pianist from age 5-12. By age 10 I was playing Beethoven and other complicated stuff. God really blessed me with the piano. At age 12 I began drumming in middle school and played piano less and less. At 13 I purchased a Pearl Forum Series drum set. I still have that set, though at a friend's house. I play Sabian and Zildjian cymbals and Tama Iron Cobra Double Kick. I'm not currently drumming/able to practice, due to not be able to have my set at me & my wife's apartment. I've played guitar since I was 19. I have had no lessons. I'm not as good as I should be. I have learned a lot about guitar specs and how to care for the instrument. Making my own guitar adjustments is really cool. I'm not really mechanically inclined unless really acquainted with the machine, so I'm blessed for what I have learned. I miss my ESP LTD Viper with EMG 81/85 pickups. The harmonics for playing metal are so diverse. My Parker PM20-Pro has coil-tapping, and with an upgraded L-500XL Bill Lawrence pickup, allows me to play metal and really clean tones. The Schecter was a great medium-skill guitar with good playability. I currently am playing my Parker in Drop B tuning. My acoustic guitar is not in "Drop", but is a half-step down. I like string flexibility. I finger pick more now in acoustic than using a pick. God made me who I am. I am glad that music is such a large portion of my heart. Sometimes playing music gets in the way of spending time with my wife, and that's where it's frustrating. But a wife as amazing as mine is irreplaceable, and sometimes I just have to put the guitar down and commit time to her. It's totally worth it. I would break my guitar to save her life. I'd put that home intruding robber to his doom with my guitar to keep Mary safe, for sure :) In Christ, Jesse Portukalian
