Sean “Ssay Cash†Carver (also an ASCAP member) was born Dec 09, 1988 in North Carolina and raised in “E-City†Elizabeth City where he lived with his mother and younger brother. After dropping out of school and repeated run ins with the law, things were getting worse for him and he was forced to moved to “P-Town†Portland, Tennessee where he stayed with his dad and stepmother. Being that his dad was in and out of jail, he had no other father figure to look up to but his half older brother and his older cousin. He learned a lot of positive as well as negative things while watching others. Being that he was always around his half older brother, he picked up rapping and writing which led him to discover his love for music. Sean was always told from local rappers around the neighborhood that he had a “nice flowâ€, but being that it never paid bills or put food on the table he never took it serious. After moving back to North Carolina, Sean got back into the studio and started to record music, not really for others, but just for himself. After months of sitting back and letting others have they shine on the mic, it was time for him to show others his unknown talent. He went from spitting over tape recorders to working out of low budget studios. He gained a buzz around the city and also the Elizabeth City State University campus by getting play time on the local radio station every Thursday night. He then started on his solo project called “Ssay No More vol.1†which was never released because of constant jumping from studio to studio and most of his music being lost. The passion he has for music seems to get him deeply involved and wanting more then just that local popularity from family, friends and fans. That’s when he started to contact small record labels. He performed at shows throughout his hometown and opened up at showcases so he is not “new†or a stranger to the stage. As time passed by, there were no good deals and all the “industry talk†was just too good to be true. Later down the road, Sean moved from North Carolina to Texas where he hooked up with a professional producer, Daniel J Patino (“Dannyâ€), who worked with Boys 2 Men, produced local commercials, and produced several original songs for the San Antonio Spurs. After hearing Sean’s demos, Danny thought it would b a good idea to let him record out of his studio and progress his urban talent. At Symmetril Sound Productions, which he calls “the labâ€, Sean jumped right back into making music and songs for his mix tape “Ssay No More vol. 1â€. After recording a couple of songs, he realized the sound quality wasn’t as good as he thought it was and felt that it was time to find another recording studio that will work with him and take into his music. He later found a local studio in “Sa Town†San Antonio , and with no hesitation Sean was back to recording and also doing local shows for his new hometown at the SoHo lounge. He has Worked long hours in the studio so he could finally complete the mix tape which came out in early November. After all is well with 2 or 3 mix tapes and good feedback, Sean will move his focus on to the next big thing, original music. Sean “Ssay Cash†Carver possesses the gift and potential to win over viewers from different aspects with his versatile flow and standing out to make a statement. As he keeps saying “I’ve been patient for too long and taking action is the only way to show others that I am really serious about my music.†Hopefully actions speak louder than words and people from all around the world will be able to relate to his life and music which he will soon share with the world.. ..
