The Electric Kaleidoscope

About Me

Forming in northern Indiana just two years ago, Electric Kaleidoscope (formerly The Facade Tragedy) has developed a large following, as well as a unique sound that is incomparable to anything else, but which would most likely be dubbed Indie Rock. Just two weeks after their initial start, the band had already released a demo as well as lined up a full summer of shows, and they have kept within the same rigorous recording and gigging structure ever since. They are now finishing their third record. Though the band appears to have the typical three instrument set up, their sound is far from ordinary. The Electric Kaleidoscope is known for using various instruments that other artists shy away from, and with influences ranging from Syd Barrett, Neil Young, and The Beatles, to Rush, various Jazz, and even early punk music like that of Elvis Costello, The Electric Kaleidoscope arises as being quite eclectic, yet manages to remain highly recognizable. Band members Adam Gross (guitar and lead vocals), Andrue Dean (drums and backing vocals), and Nic Leatherman (bass) have managed to create an original mix that defies all genres and appeals to an audience as varied in musical tastes as the band is in style...
