I am here for Friends

About Me

You can spend your entire life with someone and never know the whole truth about them. You might be able to finish their sentences, but you will never know them inside out.

My Interests

writing, coffee, reading, life

I'd like to meet:

1) Someone who will take me out for coffee.

2) girls who find comfort in silence.

"She looked over at me when the children in the picture brought in a kitten to show their mother. M loved the kitten and wanted me to love it. Even in the dark, I could sense that she felt the usual estrangement from me when I don’t automatically love what she loves. Later, when we were having a drink at the station, she asked me if I didn’t think that kitten was ‘rather nice’. She didn’t use the word ‘cute’ anymore. When did I ever frighten her out of her normal vocabulary? Bore that I am, I mentioned R.H. Blyth’s definition of sentimentality: That we are being sentimental when we give to a thing more tenderness than God gives to it. I said that God undoubtedly loves kittens, but not, in all probability with Technicolor booties on their paws. He leaves that creative touch to script writers. M thought this over, seemed to agree with me, but the ‘knowledge’ wasn’t too very welcome. She sat stirring her drink and feeling very unclose to me. She worries over the way her love for me comes and goes, appears and disappears. She doubts its reality simply because it isn’t as steadily pleasurable as it is a kitten."

I will write you in two weeks

When I woke the next morning, my arms were my own again and Ette was no longer beside me.  Macie had found her way into the room and greeted me with playful moans, but grew bored quickly and foun...

Argentina? Brazil? Why not.

We stopped after the gas light went on.  I stood by the car and waited while Ette ran behind the station's associated store to pee.  It was cold, windy, but the sky was clearing.  The a...

Cows

Cows rested their swollen bellies along the grass.  They were down on all fours, as it is their custom in such dim and dreary climates, but they looked to be okay with it.  They looked at ea...

Monty Pythons Meaning of Life is funny as shit

To the unborn infant, the womb must be a fine place to live.  A fine place indeed, and it would be implausible to conceive of world outside of his own fatty cocoon provided that he hasn't the vis...

You cant find truth in a picture

For me:  Things have a terrible habit of being beautiful at first glance and then tiresome as my familiarity grows.  I suppose the opposite is true as well and things can become better wit...

Fall already?

It was morning.  From the stairs, over to the large front windows of the Governors mansion, I could see the rain falling gently; steadily dribbling from the sides of the house, skidding down the ...

The Number 23... not such a great movie

I was sitting, drinking scotch while staring at Ette who was in the kitchen.  Her backside was facing me and the lights shined nicely off her dress. She was washing dishes and talking to her aunt...

Tonight's Family Guy was effing funny!

For the moment, like so many moments before, I had wished I had been more charming.  Inexhaustibly charming, and could hand out words as eloquently as if they were roses. I never know what to say...
