Raphaël Medde

Raphaël began playing guitar aged 14 learning by himself and mainly by ear. He turns his first influences in the "hendrixian" rock'n'roll and metal, influenced heavily by Yngwie Malmsteen. At age 17, he plays with different instrumental bands on several stages (France, Germany, Belgium) and in studio. The discovery of artists such as John Mclaughlin, Allan Holdsworth or Mike Stern lead him to study and work on jazz-fusion music. In 2000, He's moved to the United States and lived in Idaho for a year, via Peru, U.K, Canada... Two years later, he recorded songs with Jean-Baptiste Marino (Jaleo), Krishoo (F.F.F) and did several studio sessions conducted by Patrice Guers (Patrick Rondat), David Linx, Daniel Ivinec. In 2005, he joined the International Music Academy of Nancy - M.A.I during 7 months, he finished first and obtained an unanimous Honored mention with congratulations from the board of juries, best of the promotion.
