About Me

We're back!

We are The Central Pen, Central Pennsylvania College's Literary Magazine. We feature the short stories, poetry, essays, and artwork of Central Penn students, faculty, staff, as well as friends. Our premiere issue was published in 2006 and back issues are available for $2.00 through Lulu: http://www.lulu.com/content/397405.
Since the first Central Pen issue was released, Central Pennsylvania College lost its CFO (who happily funded the publication), it's Academic Chair (who also happily funded and supported the publication) as well as several students who helped put the first issue together. The main editor, the artist formerly known as Maria C. James, got engaged and totally flaked for 10 months while she planned her wedding! But now we're back, fired up and ready to go!
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY WORK TO THE CENTRAL PEN?Email your work to The Central Pen with your name and a brief bio - just a couple of lines about yourself and your work. Include a picture if you so choose. You will be notified in writing if your submission has been accepted. IF YOU SUBMIT BY MAY 1, YOUR POEM WILL BE ENTERED INTO THE CENTRAL PEN POETRY COMPETITION! You could win $50 and a membership to the Academy of American Poets. (CPC students only.)Contact The Central Penn at [email protected]
