Originally formed in 1987 by Corey Pressman and Kirk Kristlibas during their high school years in Rockland County, NY, Dreams In Exile took inspiration from ‘70’s progressive rock, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and early period 4AD acts such as Dead Can Dance and Cocteau Twins.
The band reformed in Portland, Oregon, in the late ‘90’s. DIE’s debut CD, Since Long Before, was produced by Belgian atmospheric composer, vidnaObmana, and released on Crowd Control Activities/Release label in 2000.
Dreams In Exile’s rare live performances would see additions of a percussionist, bassist, and keyboard player. Notable live appearances include opening for Psychic TV in Portland, OR, 2005.
With their forthcoming release, THE LEGEND, Dreams In Exile continues to create music that defies conventional genres.
