The New Royales is who we are, and what we stand for is the truth. Not ashamed of where we come from or where we’ve been. Without conformity, and with no apologies we bring to you the movement, the evolution, and revolution.
The revolution is the music. Overthrowing convention, breaking down borders, fearlessly “The New Royales” have conquered the sonic landscape. Fusing elements of Rock in its alternative form, the boom bap of Hip-Hop, the eloquence of Jazz, the raw energy of Drum ‘n Bass and Reggae. Stories are told to touch the soul in the most sincere and authentic way possible. It’s like “the Clash meets Africa Bambata” says Chin, it’s like “John Lennon meets Marvin Gaye” says Erik Alcock, it’s like “Stereolab meets Jay Dilla” says DJ Khalil, it’s like “Bjork meets Joan Baez” says Liz Rodrigues.
Dr. Dre calls them the new crack. Busta Rhymes calls them the new movement. Not only are these legends fans, they are part of the Royale family. With Dre lending his production skills to a song called, Spend It On Me, and Busta dropping a verse on a joint called, Sorry.
Constantly evolving, each member of “The New Royales” push each other to the creative limits. DJ Khalil, producer to the stars, Dr.Dre, 50 Cent, Nas, finds a new voice for the boom bap against the rolling bass lines, guitars, and keyboards provided by Chin Injeti, award-winning writer/producer. This sound becomes a backdrop to the stories told by Erik Alcock, who channels the spirits of Lennon, Marvin, and Dylan. This truth shines on with the golden voice of Liz Rodrigues, who is not only beautiful but graces every track with an urgency and subtlety that only experience can buy.
