I am here for Friends

About Me

Found this oldie on ghetto Diaryland. Almost all of it surprisingly still rang true even after three years. Changed a couple to suit the present:

1. Full real name and its origin: Camille Elise Catherine Lafrance. My dad actually picked Camille, he’s never fully explained the choice, but I love it so I’ll stick to it. Elise is from my mum’s love of Family Ties. Catherine is after my Grandpa’s ex, lol. She was a very strong influence in my mother’s life, my Dad went with it since it’s his mom’s name too
2. Favorite Color and why it is: Green. Ireland green is my favorite, their grass is this amazing shade that alone would make you fall in love with Europe.
3. Height: Tie between 5’6” or 5’7”
4. Sexual Orientation: I loved Therese’s answer, sexual.
5. Hairnet size: Large I think, depends on the maker.
6.Brand of shoe preferred and why: Prefer comfort, prefer odd.
7. Shoe size in that favorite brand: Well I’ll lean to 9 ½, because when I say ten I feel like a monster.
8. Brand of computer you are typing on: It's a bit of a mutt assembled by Cordate specifically for my work.
9. Tell us something about your father, anything will suffice: Jaret Leah, formerly Terrance Roland Lafrance. Person I am least emotionally and spiritually connected to in this life. Cold, mechanical, hard-working, and ambitious.
12. Person emotionally and spiritually closest to you right now: Simon David.
13. Do you take much stock in luck? Explain your superstitions if so: Despite being Irish, I don’t think so. I do strongly believe in karma however.
14. What kind of vehicle do you drive: I got nothing. Still. Though when I'm lucky I get to take the Sienna Van for a whirl...whew it sure helps me pick up those men :)
15. Dream Vehicle: A ’67 Chevelle, that I’ve built entirely myself.
16. Favorite Childhood television shows: Care Bears, Sesame Street, Power Rangers, Gargoyles, Inspector Gadget, and Ninja Turtles.
17. Drug(s) of choice: Chocolate. I'm also becoming slightly dependent on the caffeine my tea gives me in the morning.
18. Instruments you play: Flute, haven’t played the clarinet in forever, and I played around on the tenor sax once upon a time. I would hope to learn to play bass, some time in this life.
19. Favorite Musical Artists. List a minimum of five: Here's a mix from my recently played playlist-Counting Crows, Black Eyed Peas, Kilbourne, Dixie Chicks,Emmy Rossum, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Damien Rice, and James Morrison. That's a pretty substanstial mix for me.
20. Pet Peeves: People who are reckless with other peoples hearts.
21. Embarrassing moment at school: Everyone knows this one. It is one of the best stories I have in my large collection.
22. Good memory of high school: Any band memory. Band camp, tour, practice. I am a proud band geek through and through.
23. First Crush: mmm, not sure. I think first legitimate was Brian. Maybe Mike depending on what counts.
24. Favorite Childhood food: Nachos. I can still recall how much I used to argue with my father that they were considered a meal, lol.
25. Favorite current food: Anything that comes out of Aunty Pam's kitchen. Though I will admit that Della makes a mean chili.
26. White or wheat bread: Whole Wheat.
27. Preferred type of pasta: Penne.
28. Favorite Vacation Destination: London. But I love the romantic notion in my head of Italy.
29. Bra or Bro (see Seinfeld) size: 38 C. Sometimes D, I don’t know the girls have their mood swings.
30. Boxers, Briefs, Boxer-briefs, thong: I have an extreme obsession with underwear. The more colorful the better, I usually lean towards the boy short/hip hugger style.
31. Best way to listen to music: Walking to the bus stop, with head phones killing whatever hearing I have left in me, singing along so all the neighbours can here.
32. Where was your first kiss? Stradwick rise.
33. First Car: Henry, this red ford pick up I learned to drive in Cremona. My mum’s, but I’m all over ignoring the technicalities.
34. What did you write your college Thesis paper on: Not there yet.
35. Top books you’ve ever read: This I could truly go on forever. But if I could give just one recommendation for the rest of time it would have to be hands down The Twilight Series. It beats Harry Potter. Yeah, I seriously just said that.
36. Favorite Movies: I'm a sucker for romance and fantasy, anything with either or even better both gets my vote. Splendor in the Grass and Lord of the Rings will always be classic goodies.
37. Favorite Quotes from those movies: Sam’s speech in the Lord of The Rings. I'm quite certain that's what got Marwa, Marissa and I through High School.
38. Glasses, contacts, laser corrected or none: Glasses, contacts usually only when intense partying is planned or I've got a date with the flat tube at Pine Lake.
39. Nicknames: Cam, Sleazy Cam, Tamille, Sam, Yelnats, Moonie, those are among my favorite.
40. Any public offices ever held: Nope.
41. Ever been on television, where and why: I don’t think so, more of a behind the scenes gal, myself.
42. Tell something about your mother: Claudia Rosalind McGlynn. Loving her was the hardest but easiest thing I ever had to do. She taught me how to love, laugh, cry, be loyal, and have fabulous music taste, and basically anything else that's valuable to know in this life. She was an amazing woman, and I wish the world could have as much empathy and humor as she did.
43. What is your typical bedtime, and how long will you sleep: Depends, it takes me a while to fall asleep, but once I'm there I seem to resemble a rock or hibernating bear.
44. Prefer clean shaven, beard, goatee, foo-man-choo, stubble, sideburns or other: Clean Shaven usually. Few men can pull off anything else, the ones that can...delish!
45. How affectionate are you: Very affectionate with those I love.
46. Favorite type of gum: If I could have three wishes one of them would be to coin Bubbalicious Watermelon gum that doesn’t fade out after 3 seconds.
47. Strange or common phrases you use: I still say Pita. Mother Pita. Son of a Pita. I like to mix it up. Fanny and DB seem to make regular occurences during the day too :)
48. What do you want to be doing right now: Sleeping. I'm a little behind in REM cycle goodness.
49. Which sports did you play competitively: I was forced into Glamorgan Soccer tryouts every year. In which I did eventually come to love, but mostly felt spite towards after my dad would leave me there crying because I was socially retarded up until the age of at least 12.
50. Are you sick and tired of this? Not really.
51. Which sports do you play competitively currently: None.
52. Describe yourself in more than ten words: Loving. Impulsive. Stubborn. Loud. Reliable. Emotional. Loyal. Honest. Passionate. Empathetic.
53. Favorite room in the house: The small little pantry/closet I have set up for all my crafty little projects and scrapbooking.
54. Propane, Charcoal or Mesquite: I'm sure i'd get kicked in the ass here if I said anything but Propane.
55. Languages spoken: English, still attempting to conquer Spanish. Coma Estas? Muy Bien. Lol.
56. Krispy Kreme, Winchells or Dunkin Donuts: Tims.
57. Swedish (light relaxing massage), or Shiatsu (deep tissue.): I would lean towards Shiatsu I think.
58. Coffee, Tea or other: Good ole’ Red Rose. Sorry for the no excitement when there are a billion kinds.
59. PC or Mac: I want a MAC so bad I can taste it.
60. Town you grew up in: Medicine Hat/Calgary.
61. Shoelaces, Velcro or otherwise: I can usually slip into mine. But eventually I’d love to have one shoelace, one Velcro. Seems pretty bad ass.
62. Check out library book or buy one knowing then you wont have to return it: I love books, and usually re-read most of them dozens of times, so I'm a Chapter's girl myself.
63. Do you/have you had any collections: Photographs. Anything that’s ever meant anything to me from receipts to mcdonalds barbies, does that count?
64. What is your specialty in the kitchen: Desserts. I am a fierce baker.
65. What do people usually say to or about you when they first meet you: To me: Hello? About me: ? Well if i'm being myself and comfortable usually they make some sort of comment on my loudness or laugh, both tend to make an impression :)
66. Your favorite holiday and why? Christmas. I turn into a freak the month of December. Tobagganing, Smell of Pine trees, seeing your family, ornaments, giving gifts you know they’ll love, American Idol Christmas CD (Oh I know you guys want to hear it), I just love it all round. Definite high five to Santa, Christmas has never let me down.
67. Sunshine, Rain or Snow: All three. The feel of sun on your skin, the smell of warm rain, and eating snow (as long as it’s not yellow). I don’t discriminate.
68. Skim, whole, or chocolate milk: Chocolate. Especially when hung over.
69. Any magazine/newspaper subscriptions you have: I'm slightly less addicted to trashy mags since now I can read it all online. But I still love Entertainment, Cosmopolitan and Shutterbug.
70. Motorhome, tent or backpacking camping: Tent. I LOVE camping.
71. Book You are Reading right now: Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict, Della bought it for me at the Safeway checkout and apparently it just screamed my name.
72. Pets names and types of animal: Hailey Lynnlark Muffin Lumps. Seriously, that's what Karla named her. Poor cat, no wonder she's borderline psychotic.
73. Profession: Office Manager/Accountant for Tempheat. And somehow I am still at Sears doing Admin work on the side.
74. Things you need to take care of today: Clean my room for impending Grandfather visit, Work at Sears, Pack for Rocky Mountain House and do at least three loads of laundry. Wow, typing that makes me tired.
75. Broken bones or serious injuries in the past: Fell off Uncle Allan's dirtbike and split my knee open, I've got some pretty bad ass stitches. Lol, I'm actually pretty lucky in this department.
76. Current television shows you watch: The Office, and One Tree Hill.
77. Kids names (future kids names for those without kids currently): I don’t know, I like quite a few. I suppose I have some time to think on it though :)
78. What were you doing with your day before you sat down and started this hellacious and tediously long questionnaire? Piling more paperwork to complete once my Quickbooks computer comes back.
79. Have you ever played any really good pranks on people? Well I generally don’t like to upset people either, but I have played some really good April Fool’s on my dad. And I don’t really feel guilty at all.
80. What do you wear to sleep at night: My Hard Rock Café shirt, and either booty shorts or boxers.
81. Laptop or Desktop: Laptop.
82. Internet service provider: Shaw.
83. Earliest childhood remembrance(s): After a horrible weekend in Calgary, I came home to Medicine Hat and my mom threw me a surprise Feel Good Party. With all my friends and a rented trampoline. With cards from everyone saying the one thing they liked about me. Apparently I was a good sharer. And had the coolest mom on the block.
84. How much can you press: Don’t know, probably not a lot.
85. Cities and countries lived in: Medicine Hat, Calgary, Cremona….ahh Alberta seems to be stuck with me.
86. Type of Razor used: Intuition. I have to make Jewel feel useful somehow.
87. Favorite article(s) of clothing: Jeans. Beatles Shirt. Canada Hoodie.
88. Single, Divorced, Married, Widowed, in a relationship: Single.
89. What cell phone service provider do you use: Rogers.
90. Favorite Cartoon Character and why: Stealing from Therese. I really love Angela from Gargoyles.
91. Something you are proud of building or creating from nothing: Different writing’s I’ve done.
92. Proud accomplishment(s): Getting into College. Supporting myself. My relationships with my friends, and family members.
93. What are you doing with the rest of your day: Going to work at Sears, and attempting to finish my massive to-do list.
94. Tell about something really daring you’ve done in your life: Stood up to my father, family. Started photography.
95. Say something about the person who sent you this email. It seems four lifetimes ago, but what I wrote still rings true in my heart: Therese, you are a good human being. And even though we're not friends anymore a box in my heart containing indian food, science fiction, booty shorts and kilbourne lyrics will always be there with your messy scrawl across it.
96. Something that you’ve always kept a secret: Wouldn’t be a secret if I told.
97. How long did it take you to answer all these questions: I didn't change very many answers, so nope.
98. Did you get to know the person who sent you this much better after reading their answers? Yes. More of what I already knew. I love anything do to with learning about those that I love.
99. Will you be likely to do another 100 questions: Yeah.
100. Are you glad to be done: Not really, this was an attempt at procrastination and now I have to go back to staring mindlessly at the wall.

25 more days...

Looking from the Malaga weather report, and outside the window to the dreary rain makes me salivate that in about a months time, I will actually be in Spain.
