The Goldilocks Bakeshop System is rooted on the Philippine Tradition of hospitality, excellent food, warmth, fast service, and a cozy atmosphere. It as conceived by two energetic and enterprising sisters to showcase their exemplary kitchen skills.
Goldilocks was established more than 30 years ago on May 15, 1966 on a seventy square meter property at Pasong Tamo Street in Makati, a nearby suburb of Manila in the Philippines. It has only 10 personnel to staff its operations. From the start, the business had been blessed when it served delicious cake and pastries at affordable prices.
Goldilocks continued to grow as it opened several new branches in the seventies, including a bigger facility where bread production was eventually transferred. It had expanded its business b providing food-catering services to big companies, local airlines, and selected government institutions.
In the latter part of the 1980's, the children of the founders started to take part in this promising family enterprise. An expansion of its business operations became the new focus. It invested heavily in new manufacturing plants with state-of-the-art equipment, to service conglomerates.
In 1976, Goldilocks of Southern California opened its doors in Artesia. This modest initial venture in North America was followed in the early eighties with store openings in Los Angeles and West Covina. A new store in Panorama City was inaugurated in the summer of 2000.
The Commissioning on August 1996 of a 57,000 square foot central commissary marked an important milestone in the history of Goldilocks in Northern California from a suburban "mom-and-pop" operation into the forefront of state-of-the-art manufacturing, with the ability to provide products not only for its own retail stores but also other institutional accounts such as Costco, Supermarkets, and Host-Marriott.
