About Me

Michele is a designer, artist and (now) writer based out of Santa Monica, California (see also: New York.) She likes big cities, ferris wheels on piers, dead languages, lawn ornaments, and talking about herself in the third person.
This is an experiment in storytelling: How many ways can one story be told? It started with artwork. The quest for a house in a dream she had as a kid. After that, came the story. Fiction. Short at first, now something like a novel. It has spent six months in workshop at ucla, stretching out and shrinking some. Typical of a good workout. It is now starting out on its first second draft. Wish it luck.
In the future (once the book writing slows down) there will be events (gallery showings, maybe parties) and possibly short films. Or moving pictures. If there's a difference. In the meantime, she would like very much to befriend people that like and make art, people that like and write stories, that take photographs, that collect paper they find on the street, rebellious and independent book publishers, coffee shops, people that drink wine, that smoke cigarettes, that live in big cities or small shacks in the Louisiana bayous.

Happy New Year. Yeah, I know that's late coming. Trying to add more to this site when I can - like a section that explains what its about so you're not all in the dark. Would be nice. Also adding more artwork. Also writing if I can figure out what's safe to post on the big wide web... anyone who knows anything about the legalities of publishing, drop me a line.

channeling mother goose, come in dr seuss

Any way I work it,  it just wants to rhyme. "It's the wool of his sweater. The seams in his socks. The pants, he won't say. He just takes them off."
