My interests are a wide range of things. I love hanging out with my kids. I love shopping for stuff for our home. I hate my current job. I love watching movies, either at the theater or cuddled up on the couch. I love my family and everything that they inspire me to be. I like cooking (although I'm not very good at it). I like reading a really good book all in one day. I love the winter and a good rainy day every now and then. I love to travel and explore new places and things. I love the beach and swimming. I would love to try to go diving... both underwater and jumping out of a plane. I can't wait to complete school next year and finish what I started in the medical field. I love helping those who are unable to help themselves. I love the look in my daughter's eyes when she sees me. I love the embrace of my son when I know he needs me. And that I is...pretty much me... width="425" height="350" ..
Mostly old friends and anyone who has gotten lost in the hustle and bustle that we call life.
I like pretty much any kind of music. I'm not a big fan of country (although at one time in my life, I wouldn't listen to anything else). I love unconventional bands that are unrecconized for their talent such as Wheat, Bob Schneider, The Robin Yukiko Band, Quit, In Passing, and many many others that I can't think of right now. I also am a sucker for the pop stars like Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Ashlee Simpson, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson... and you know the rest. I can't help myself. But if you haven't heard of any of the above mentioned bands, check them out. You won't be dissapointed. Oh yeah...I'm smitten by the music of Kevin E. Allen Jr. AKA Cubby. If you don't do anything else today, listen to this kid!!! He's friggin amazing! His music will inspire you to kiss your waitress and tip your Mother...in a good way. (Much love Kev!)
I'm a huge comedy fan. Pretty much anything with Will Farrell is good times in my book. Although I do love a good heart-wrenching love story every now and then. Mystery/Scary movies that keep me on the edge of my seat guessing and figuring out what's going to happen next are great too! The stupid horror flicks that destroy the logical human thought process of running away from the scary creature that has just killed your whole family instead of going upstairs to check out the noise that you just heard do nothing for me.
OK, so the truth is, I'm a reality tv junkie! I will be the first to admit (only so Jared doesn't have to point it out later) that if Real World, Road Rules, There and Back, Newlyweds, Meet the Barkers or any of the like come on, chances are, I'm watching them. Even if I've seen it 200 times before. I can't help myself. I also enjoy home improvement/desinger shows. I love Flip This House and Designed To Sell. I am also a fan of a show called Intervention. (I cry every time.) I like Airline and Family Plots too. I'm also a huge Game Show fan. I like watching cooking shows but I don't really get it so it's a waste of time. Survivorman is pretty cool and I love pretty much any show that has a courtroom in it. And or course, I love ER and Grey's Anantomy is pretty good. I could read you the whole list of crap that we DVR everyday but I will spare you the pain.
I love a good romance novel every now and then. I really love self-help and how to books. I'm pretty stubborn and like to figure things out on my own. BTW...do magazines count? Because I know of a handful of those that get read every month.
Does my kitty Lokey count? He's my only hero lately.
