About Me

Lance Zêus Lasheras , aka Dj Zêus, began his career in music at the supple age of 10. It was at this time that his parents enrolled him in classical piano lessons. After enduring years of ritualistic practice, numerous performances, and bleeding fingers he dropped the art form. During his high school years, he took numerous production courses at Vancouver Film School, and trained in the fields of video editing, animation, and music production. In 2000 he produced the short film "The Cat's Meow" which went on to win the BC Youth Film Festival , and aired on CBC television. In 2001 he was hired by P-TV to produce a short animated series, and in 2003 wrote and directed "Hygieinos" which won first prize at the DWVM Film Festival , and toured the Vancouver Film Festival. During this series of film and animation achievements , he also began working heavily with music. His studio productions have been featured in the numerous films and software titles including The Adventures of Super Pag for the Mac OS. His newest mix CD A Rainy Day 2 has also become a worldwide underground hit, played in clubs from Vancouver's Celebrities to China's Baby Face. On the decks Zêus has garnered a reputation for high energy performances, and has opened for such esteemed artists as Mizz, John Askew, Phynn, and Ferry Corsten. The year 2007 will see the release of his first studio album, as well as his first worldwide tour.
