Ominous Recordings should be seen as a part of the musical revolution. There's no room for ordinary music, no room for the mainstream sounding bands. Ominous are strictly looking for artist that are something out of the ordinary, experimental, progressive, insane, avantgarde.
As long as the music contains any of the following or similar emotional states - Darkness, depression, melancholy, pain, agony, angst, hatred, despise, desorientation and/or isolation, sadness, loss.

The Balustrade Ensemble - Capsules (OR008)
The Balustrade Ensemble is probably the most emotional thing that has been layed before Ominous so far. The feelings I get is almost everyone I have mentioned is important for this label. This is gloomy, atmospheric, hurtful, sad, I get feelings of isolation and desorientation. The music seems almost fragile. I am sure that this will appeal to fans of Sigur Rós, but this is without vocals.

Conversation About The Light(US) - A Retrospective / Limited and Unreleased Tracks (OR006)
The american artist serves you a plate of limited tracks and previously
unreleased tracks. Pure ambiental dronescapes and a very gloomy
atmosphere, combined with harsh noise, and painfully sharp cluster.
This is uneasy easy listening. Did you like the Boris records "The thing
which Solomon overlooked" and "Dronevil", picture the sound from
these albums, and combine it with some heavy noise. You should also
check out the collaborative CD with Conversations About The Light and
A Crown Of Amaranth, A Crown Of Light - The Clearing, a concept
album that is dark as hell.

Diagnose: Lebensgefahr(Swe) - Transformalin (OR005)
It started with a demo wrapped in bloodstained bandages. The bleeder
was no-one else but Nattramn from the worshipped act Silencer. The
demo contained the worst case of mental decay Ominous Recordings
had ever heard. Ambiental soundscapes, combined with harsh noise,
and Nattramns uneasy voice. Chanting his painful lyrics with a voice
that is submissive, but at the same time demanding. A voice filled with
fear, but at the same time controlled. As the cooperation evolved
Ominous Recordings got a peek into one of Swedens darkest souls.
This release layout and design is as it was visioned by Nattramn
himself, every picture is personally picked out by the mind behind the
madness you are about to hear.
It is a real honor to release this upon mankind, and I am greatful to
Nattramn for giving Ominous Recordings this upportunity.

Seduction) in a devilish conspiracy. Together they have recorded the
most evil, dark and angstridden interpretations of Swedens own Carl

Sekt "plays" Ambient with a lot of experimental touches.
This A-Side is very, very dark and very strange. This is the first release
of this very promising band.
Terror Regime continues to spread their terror propaganda.
This third release is with less vocals than earlier, and a live(?!) track is
added.
Buy this and "Learn like Ominous Drones", this is a release that you
should own!

Suicidal Seduction(Swe) - Guilty On All Counts (OR002)
Suicidal, hateful Death Metal! This is probably the only Death Metal
band I'll release on this label. Mostly because it's hard to really get a
grip of the feelings in the music.
But this demonstrates that the bands that florish today, aren't all
Darkthrone or In Flames wannabies. For fans of Vader and Vomitory.
