Ora started as a recording session in 1968 at KPM Studios, Denmark Street to demo a couple of my songs for Tangerine Records. So pleased with the results were they that the sessions rolled on and Robin Sylvester, Julian Diggle and I would pitch up during the gaps in our school timetable to lay down more of the songs that would eventually result in the 1969 vinyl LP, now worth £450.
An expanded limited edition of that album was re-released on CD on the Background label in 1992, and then again, with yet more tracks from the archive, on double vinyl on the WahWah label in 2006.
“Seashore†is taken from the Background Edition, although recorded circa 1970, and "You" from the original 1969 LP.
The rest of the tracks were recorded in the intervening years, as I returned to my roots after Byzantium, and are unreleased.
