About Me

Music has always been one of the most important things in my life. I remember sitting around as a kid listening to my grandfather play guitar, thinking that I wanted to be able to play just like him. I finally started playing guitar when I was 12, and got my first real electric when I was 14. It was an Epiphone SG copy, and I wish I still had that guitar. It was great.
I come from Hamilton, AL, which is a small town in northwestern Alabama. Even though it is small, a lot of great musicians have came out of Hamilton. Gone Arye, LSD-30, Gary Brading, and Handshake Promise all have roots in Hamilton. At one time or another, all of the "Hamilton Connection" have played together in various bands. And even though it's been a year or two since we played together in high school, we all still try to keep in touch and go see each other play. There's a real brotherhood there that time can't tear apart. It's GREAT!
I've played in several bands throughout the years, including Silent Rage, Toxic Carnival, Mighty Ike, Naughty House, and most recently, Gone Arye. Silent Rage was my first band, which was back in high school. The only two gigs we ever really played was a battle of the bands at the Hamilton Skating Rink, and we received honorable mentions at a talent show at Hamilton High School. When I joined the Navy, I kept playing, and played in a party band called Toxic Carnival. We played parties around Virginia Beach, VA off and on for the 4 years I was stationed there. I also played in Mighty Ike, the classic rock band of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. We mostly played onboard while the ship was at sea, but we did get to play a few of the PR parties the Navy would have when we pulled into a foreign port. After I got out of the Navy, I quit music for way too long. When I began playing again, I decided to start playing bass and guitar. In 2005 I joined the band Naughty House in the Huntsville, AL area. We played together for 2 years, before we headed our separate ways in 2007.
In December of 2006, I found my long time friend Kevin Rye on MySpace. He had started a band called Gone Arye, and I went to hear them play. Over the next few months, I got up and performed songs with them on guitar. I had told Kevin that I played bass for Naughty House, and he invited me to play bass for Gone Arye when their normal bass player couldn't be there for gigs. Over the course of time, I was invited to be the official bass player for Gone Arye. Since then, we've been through a few changes. But through it all, we've lived and breathed by our motto : We don't give a damn, we just want to play for you.
I really hope you enjoy the songs I have on my site. I will be recording more as soon as I can, and will be posting them as I can.
