LABEL HISTORY
Tribunal Records started in the summer of 1999 with the aspiration of releasing records by bands whom we enjoy listening to. We decided to take a different approach to running a record label than most labels that have come before us. We put the music first and rather than spend money on advertising and showing kids how "fashionable" we are or how big our band's crowds can be, we instead focus on releasing records. It is this philosophy that has allowed us to release over 70 records in 6 years, which is an incredible feat for such a small, independent record label. It is our love of music and a desire to help bands (our friends) get their music to a larger audience that keeps us rolling along.
Tribunal Records has been able to gain a reputation for releasing some of the best metal/hardcore in the scene today, but we have since diversified our roster of bands as we didn't want to become "pigeon-holed" as simply a metal label. The roster now includes not only the most cutting edge metal/hardcore bands that the fans expect us to deliver, but showcases several modern rock/indie artists as well. Unlike in our formative years, the label is continuing to mature and develop its multiple facets. So when you see the Tribunal Records logo, you will know it is quality material regardless of the genre of music.
