From the cultural hub that has produced bands like Silverstein, The Reason, Boys Night Out and Dead & Divine, Burlington’s latest band of boy wonders is about to raise the bar. SlowMotionNoise is stepping out of the shadows of the Burlington scene with a subversive sound that mixes trendy hardcore/screamo with trance influenced electronica.
SlowMotionNoise was born in 2006 as a side-project of vocalist Sean Sheridan. After minor success, the project became a full band with the addition of Matt Taylor on synthesizer, Jason Haist on guitar and Dave Bembenek on bass. The band’s unique sound is fun and easy to like; it’s the kind of music that makes any audience want to dance and clap their hands.
Currently, the band is working on their debut EP, to be titled, “Dance Party At The HxC Show!†Their only future plans are to keep playing shows and keep having fun. To catch a glimpse of what promises to be the next big thing out of Burlington, you can check out SlowMotionNoise on MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/slowmotionnoise) or at any of their upcoming shows.
