The derivation of the name April (Latin Aprilis) is uncertain. The traditional etymology from the Latin aperire, "to open," in allusion to its being the season when trees and flowers begin to "open," is supported by comparison with the modern Greek use of ἁνοιξις (opening) for spring. Since most of the Roman months were named in honor of divinities, and as April was sacred to Venus, it has been suggested that Aprilis was originally her month Aphrilis, from her Greek name Aphrodite (Aphros), or from the Etruscan name Apru.I love music.. my type of genres 80s-british-pop/rock (if u havent noticed).. i love the music, i just hated the style.. those frizzy big hair "aquanet" days, technicolored belts, polka-dotted skirts, off-shouldered baggy tops, guys wearing skinny jeans, washed and dyed jean jackets. i love to cook and eat. i cant cook filipino dishes, i tried and i sucked, so never tried again. but i love to cook different kinds of food. my popular dishes are italian, chinese, and japanese. i love japanese food. if theres any food that i have to eat for the rest of my life, one dish, nothing else... i would pick japanese, i'll never get tired of sushi. i have lots of favorite places. it depends. if i just wanna go for a quick snack, affordable sushi, smaller portions, i'd pick sushi moro or ariake. i like going to this place in palo alto called fuki sushi. food's a bit expensive but i still like it there. i dont knw why, food taste pretty much the same as in other jap restaurants..i guess the environment, the coziness, and the presentation really impressed me. yoyo sushi is not bad, sometimes i crave for it, but i dont knw, everytime i come out of yoyo sushi, i end up feeling nautious.. some people say it's probably the msg..but im asian!!!??? I like watching scary/horror movies.. Im not so much into bloody, gruesome movies.. im more into ghosts, spirits, haunted houses, devil.. like classic horror movies… or something that can possibly happen in real life.. nothing like zombies.. those are fake! I also like comedies.. stand-ups, sitcom, movies… it’s really easy to make me laugh… i love corny jokes or old school jokes such as yo momma, filipino style knock knocks….. so if u are a bad joker (like you know who), I would loooove you.. my favorite comedians: jo koy, russell peters, anjelah johnson, george lopez, carlos mencia, gabriel iglesias… there’s a lot more but these are the main ones… most of these guys do a lot of racial jokes... which I love but a lot of people find them offensive.. I hate it when people cant take racial jokes.. I mean sometimes these comedians do go overboard, but u know everyone makes fun of different races… it’s hilarious… rather than taking them offensively, why don’t u just think of a good comeback.. for example.. Asians are bad drivers? Oh yeah? Why don’t u tape ur eyes so that it would be slanted and see how well u drive? how can Asians be bad drivers anyway when they make the best cars? People are just jealous cuz some of them cant get car insurance… im not too much of a political comedy fan, I don’t consider myself an airhead, I just don’t care much for politics..except when glo does it. there’s a litte skit that I do by anjelah johnson.. she’s a Mexican comedienne that does vietnamese accent...she’s really good.. she’s actually one of the funniest girls that ive seen. She doesn’t use derogatory remarks (atleast i dont think she does) unlike others like mencia.. his jokes are sometimes too racist, but true. my most favorite of all.. Russell peters.. I’ll never get tired of this guy.. i love it when he does his indian accent and makes fun of his own people. he's fukkin hilarious.
