Hello, this is me - Elisabeth Johansson.
This is my thoughts and emotions set in music.
For contact, booking or just say hi ^__^ :[email protected] musician has its own story.
Mine is not that different from many other musical artists. I started with poetry writing, and after a while - In the beginning of 2006, the dream of someone singing my lyrics begun. I sat down with a guitar, and after a few months of self learning, I joined a few friends and started to play the electric guitar/wrote the lyrics in a band. And so it all began.
The band lasted for almost a year, and thought the trip with them may have been short, I didn't want to quit doing what I love - music. It didn't take long until I realized that It would be much easier if I sung my own songs. It was kind of scary in the beginning, 'cause I never knew that singing was something I would be able to do, but deep inside I had a feeling that this was right. All the sudden, I didn't create music just 'cause it was fun, it turned out to become one of the most important things for me in life so that I could go on and not somehow expload with all the thoughts and questions on my mind.
I gave up the electric guitar quite quicly and started to play acoustic by my self and tried to sing my own lyrics. After a while I begun to get better at it, my very first song I ever wrote for me and my voice was 'Under my Cherrytree' when I was about 14 years old. (It's one of the songs below in the playlist btw, haha. It's not recorded with great quality, but to me, it's nostalgic and I still love the song.) My first preformance was in front of my school, in front of student and parents of children of all ages. I was so nervous, haha. But as soon as I was done, I missed every second of beeing on the stage. I guess you could say that feeling still hounts me. Every word I use is a piece of me, and knowing that people listen to what I was singing made me glad. My music - my thoughts - my way of letting the world to know, I guess you could say.
Gigs was coming up all around in Stockholm, and I also got a scholarship for my music.
It's been a while since 2006, and I'm so happy for all the love I've received in these years.
So, thank you all for being my inspiration. (without you there would be no music)
Love, love, love and peace :) / ElisabethJohansson
