About Me

I have been writing songs since I was 8 years old and I think I started singing when I started talking! Music to me is one of the things in my life where I achieve an "internal hum". When I am there and it's happening, when the circle is completed by the beautiful spaces between the sounds, when my music makes the loop between me and my listeners....well, it doesn't get much better. I can get to that place digging in the dirt and making things grow and when I have the great joy of good sex! (most often though, these are not enjoyed in public!)I have had the wonderful opportunity to play with some amazing players. Here in Toronto I am happy to count Marcus Walker, Andrew Taylor, Ferd Blom and Jo-Anne Park as some of my regular accompanists. It's a challenging musical reality in this city. To keep live music happening in ways that we can all enjoy requires cooperation from the musicians, the listeners and the venues. I feel good about where things are at for me right now. And grateful....so grateful! I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Influences: My earliest influence was my Dad's cousin, Rod Snow. As a child I used to watch him lay his head on his guitar while he was playing and I thought, "I want that feeling!"I grew up listening to music being played around my parents' kitchen table - always LOTS of harmony and such passion! And THAT is where my influences lie - anywhere where the passion is obvious! I have enjoyed rock, blues, jazz, country...you name it! It's all about the soul that goes into the sounds!
