Nightporter is Riccardo Piemonte’s first solo project and the monicker chosen for his debut is a deeply felt homage to one of his most favourite bands, David Sylvian’s Japan.
“Under the blanketsâ€, issued in 2006, is totally produced by the author himself and orchestrated with an unusual but fascinating set of instruments (Roland Groovebox MC 303, Novation BassStation e Fender Jaguar) and it is made up by five tracks.
Talking Heads, The Blue Nile, Talk Talk and My Bloody Valentine and even Etienne de Crecy, all present in Riccardo’s huge vinyl collection, have been an awesome and constant source of inspiration to Riccardo.

Nightporter è il primo progetto solista di Riccardo Piemonte e il monicker da lui scelto è un sentito omaggio ad uno dei suoi gruppi preferiti, i Japan di David Sylvian.
Nel 2006 è uscito l’ep “Under the blanketsâ€, totalmente autoprodotto ed orchestrato con una strumentazione insolita ma affascinante (Roland Groovebox MC-303, Novation BassStation e Fender Jaguar) ed è composto da cinque pezzi.
Talking Heads, The Blue Nile, e Talk Talk e ancora My Bloody Valentine e persino Etienne de Crecy, tutti presenti nella collezione di vinili di Riccardo, sono stati una grande e continua fonte d’ispirazione.
