The Brennan Sisters

About Me

Barbara, Mary, Anne and Monica known as the Brennan sisters come from Maam Valley, situated in the heart of Connemara. The girls come from a family steeped in Traditional music and song. Both of their parents William and Nora are fine Traditional singers and have been the girls biggest influences down through the years. All sisters have been singing from an early age and have worked individually with other artists throughout the years but joined up together for a few shows three years ago. From then on, the Brennan Sisters continue to perform throughuot Ireland, the UK and Europe."The girls four part natural harmonies add diversity to every show that they perform and their vocal ability continues to surprise audiences everywhere'"The girls have developed their very own unique style of performance, incorporating beautiful and intricate harmonies with a very distinctive but unmistakeable Irish resonance"The girls perfomed the well known song "Hand me down my bible" on Sharon Shannons new dvd/cd live from Dolans! Earlier this year the girls performed on The voice Within cd/dvd. Filmed at the INEC, Killarney in front of a live audience, it is the most expensive production ever filmed in Ireland for broadcast on American television.
