It was in Kortrijk that I first saw VERY VERY POP. They played in a little, crowdy and sweaty bar at the flaxmarket and VERY VERY POP was a lovable band that surprised and wrapped up the people present with their flamboyant singer Rebekka and a gig that was much too short. Two hours later, under big aplause of a very enthousiast public, they hitted the stage again . The bar went totally crazy...
VERY VERY POP is and does sound different than most bands. They are a relieve in the present music scene. They are taking and facing. They sound tightly and cool. They keep their songs short and they make themselves no illusions concerning their musical skills. VERY VERY POP is popular, brief, funny and sexy. VERY VERY POP is an extrovert, exciting and theatrical experience.
Luc and Inge are ficticious VERY VERY POP-fans. Their names are insignificant. Nevertheless, they could be called Hugo & Cindy, Kris & Sandra or Tom & Nathalie. The point is, they are all a new generation of musicfans and VERY VERY POP is their absolute number 1. Luc & Inge can identify themselves with VERY VERY POP because VERY VERY POP is their first love. It's the foreplay and afterplay, beginning and end.
VERY VERY POP is VERY VERY POP and VERY VERY POP WAS NOW!!
