Based in Rouen in Normandy, Une is an independent record label that started its acitivities in 1999. At the beginning the label was created for he production and promotion of difficult electronic music: Dark ambient, Noise, Experimental and other dark electronic music from all over the world.The first production was the reissue on CD of Maeror Tri’s tape “Venenum” in 1999. This reissue was the reason for the creation of the label. I liked this tape and I was sad to see this record only available on tape in an extremely limited edition. I thought if I liked it, may-be other people would liked it too. So I decided to create a record label to realize this CD.As I needed to define a line of conduct, I decided to support difficult electronic music.After Maeror Tri’s CD, the second production was Melek – Tha’s vinyl picture disc “Inferno” in 2000. I had a crush on this record, and it was my first experience for vinyl production. Really interesting to realize, and the decision to do as many vinyl records as possible. The object is more beautiful than the CD.In 2001 the third production was released. This record called “Ultrason” was a various artists compilation, based on organic textures. Folkstorm / Schloss Tegal / Militia / Catharsis / Maruta Kommand / Melek – Tha took part with invailable tracks.In 2002 the label produced the record og a gothic / medieval band called Rosa Crux. Musically totally different from the usual the sound of label. The label accepted to realize the record because I liked the atmosphere of this record. At th end the record was with an incredible artwork sleeve.The next year there was the split CD between the Australian Band “Nazxul” and the French band Melek – Tha which was released. A real sound quarrel dedicated to hell.In 2003 I decided to open the label for more specialized electronic music such as: Electronica / Minimal electronic, and other electronic rhythms. The opportunity to do it came at a electronic music festival I met Hugo Girard the haed of the Canadian band Vromb. I propose him to do a 7” picture disc vinyl record with the label and he accepted. Radiocosmos would be released some months later. In the same time the new electronic french band Morphoex contacted me. The band was looking for a label to release a CD. I listened their demo and found it really original. An electronic band with a rock sound, very surprising. I accepted to produce the album. The record was released in September 2005 and got good reviews.Now the label is working on new projects. First a CD-ROM for the town hall of Grand Quevilly, will be released in May 2006. In September '06 will begin a collection of 10” picture disc vinyls with a poster and postcards, the band Duuster accepted it, Scorn would interested. The label is discuting with the other bands.In November '06 the first issue of the collection "Audiovisuel" with SCORN was released.
