Why hello everyone round the globe. My name is Patrick Cassidy and I am 20 years old. To me, music is one of the best things in life. I love to listen to it and I equally if not more enjoy writting my own. This page is dedicated to me as an artist of my own creations. I'm pleased to see that you read this far. I love to get messages and comments from people...Sometimes it makes my day:) Regardless, thanks for coming to my page and I hope you enjoy.---------Patrick------------------------------------ Patrick Cassidy is an aspiring musician from Chicago. Growing up music was the only thing that he was sure of. "I never gave a shit about school or getting into a good college". "I only cared about playing with my bands and writing music". With high school gone and fellow musicians lost interests in playing, Patrick now focuses on his solo career. He can be seen playing coffee houses, open mics, and anywhere that he can. "Alot of people approach me after a show or after hearing my cd and they say "Dude your songs are so sad." "Sounds like youve been going through alot of pain". The truth is, everyone has pain in their lives. Everyone has shit going on that they just cant tell anybody about it. The only difference between them and I is that I channel those feelings and experiences of pain, depression, love, lust, and everything else I have going on in my life through my music. Its really the only "true" thing in my life right now. The majority of mainstream music that you hear on the radio and see on MTV is just happy-go-lucky songs that dont really imact anyone other than leaving a melody stuck in their head all day. "I try to bring more to the table than just a melody". I'de rather try to connect on an emotional level with whomever is listening than just playing a song that someone can bob their head to. Hearing someone tell you that they can totally relate to one of my songs is just so much more rewarding for me and for them to." Patrick is determined to deliver his work to anyone who will listen. "It's`definatley a lot harder now (playing for audiences) considering that most of the kids wanna hear punk rock songs and i'm coming onstage by myself with an acoustic guitar." "Where were these kids 3 years ago!?". Patrick has not released a full length solo album yet but it is in the works. "Latley i've been working on more material for "After The Spotlight Fades" which will be realesed by NutRush Records in January 07'.
