About Me

please view www.lekiwi.comI was a member of top professional New Zealand 60s bands: Le Frame, Breakaways, Underdogs, Hamul...before leaving the NZ & Australian music scene in the early 70s to pursue my own importing wholesale ventures...until the mid 90s when LA music legend & genius Arthur Lee of LOVE fame asked me to become his business advisor. Sadly Arthur passed on last August but left a huge music legacy & went out on a great high after very successful tours of Britain, Europe & the US during the last few years of his highly publicised controversial life. My song writing took a more serious turn after much encouragement from Arthur. This is a photo of the "Underdogs" - the most notorious band in NZ's rock history. No other band even came a close second. Why? Because every other band didn't have the experience & knowledge ...least we forget their raw talent & energy which to this day is lost to the general populace.Several members had been given the ancient & eternal Secrets of the Ages. This photo was taken in Christchurch in 1968 or early 1969 while playing resident at the "RamJam Club," a cellar basement club just off Christchurch's Square in mid city.Remember this was the 60's at its most grim. To be a member of this band you had to be completely stoned, mad, crazy, & most of all a great musicians which could mix it with the best the world had to offer. These "rock stars" - as they were so oddly called in the newspapers, on television, magazines, radio etc etc - did not even realise how good they were until they had broken up & traveled overseas, separately, to hear other top bands, many of which they could have out-performed any day of the week.Often in trouble with the law, street fights, wild nude parties.....and numerous other things we cant write about here. The list of deeds could go on & on.The order of the day was to play music as good as possible & party as hard as possible - something they did achieve remarkably well.A band looking as bad as this funnily enough had a huge female following...even the band were amazed?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Likeminded souls who love life, music & having fun. "Deep within our DNA we all have our own love song; this song or prayer is the love song we've forgotten how to sing."
