Powerslave is a tribute to the music of Iron Maiden, one of the most respected and influential bands in heavy metal history.
Bringing together members of some of Saskatchewan's premiere live bands, Powerslave features an exhilarating live show and precision musicianship.
The foundation of Powerslave is the powerful rythmn section featuring the intricate drum prowess of Brent Labbe' (Winterkill, formerly of Hard Knox and Riff Raff ), and the blazing fingers of bassist of Dave Denowski ( Riff Raff ). The first half of Powerslave's twin-guitar attack is Chris Smith (of Men Without Shame and Under the Covers), with his phenomenal precision and feel.
Rounding out the guitar team is the fretwork of Rory Lawford ( Riff Raff ) who also doubles as lead vocalist. Operatically trained, Rory is one of Saskatchewan's most respected rock vocalists.
Powerslave's set features classic Maiden tracks ranging from Dianno-era songs like "Running Free" and "Killers", through the legendary albums "The Number of the Beast", "Piece of Mind","Powerslave", "Somwhere in Time" and "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son", through to the current Maiden rennasiance of "The Wicker Man" and more. Powerslave's shows also feature an opening set of mixed classic rock and metal to set the mood.
