Christmas 06 With The Fam
As my blog reads, four years. That's how long I've been in Myrtle Beach. I moved here from New Hampshire and the only thing that makes me look back is my family still up there. Since 90% of my life story is probably boring, I'll just start from where it gets interesting. When I moved to Myrtle Beach I quickly became absorbed in the club scene. By the time I was 19 I was assistant managing at The Freaky Tiki, one of the biggest nightclubs on the beach at the time. Since then, I've experienced every facet of the bar business, from bar backing to bartending to bar managing, earning my education through experience. By the way, to those who have never been, Myrtle Beach does have a great nightlife scene, something for everybody. But I take great pride in that I haven't gotten sucked up in it. I work and play in bars, as does just about half the population of Myrtle Beach, but too many get sucked into that 24/7/365 vacation and party. I believe in working hard and being very goal-oriented. I have dreams and values and I very much so hope to realize them one day. I am forever working. But I like working, I like feeling like I'm going somewhere in life. Recently, I also decided to go back to school. Fresh out of high school, I had decided to get out into the real world to gain some perspective on what it was exactly that I wanted to do with my life. Now with my new found direction four years later, I am attending Coastal Carolina University for Business Management and I couldn't be happier. Throughout my life family has always been number one to me, I love them, support them, and would sacrifice anything for them. Along the way I've met many people whom I am grateful for having in my life, some of which have helped shape the very person I am and where I'm headed. I live each day with no regrets and thankful for every experience that has led me to this point. These have been the most exciting days of my life and each and everyday I look forward to the next. That's me in a nutshell.
