Aight, I first started to DJ at the age of 14 but i've been into music long before. When I first shadowed a DJ, I knew it was something I wanted to do. I DJed for 3 years while in a youth group doing monthly dances in and around Espanola and several years there after. I DJed Graduations, Weddings, and House Parties. I have always been complimented on the music selection I choose for each event, which I cater to per event by reading the crowd and doing what I do best. I did put the DJ career on hold for a few years until I was settled down and married. I purchased a whole new DJ system which currently doesn't have a need for turntables. Turntables are unfortunately a thing of the past. Now I DJ with Professional Audio equipment, two laptops and a CD Turntable that plays MP3 cd's.
With two MP3 CD's I could DJ your event all night long!! Adding the laptop adds versatility and eliminates the need to carry around crates of CD's and/or Vinyl records. This is a step to the future. On my laptop I have a three different Professional DJ software suites installed that lets me mix at the touch of a mouse, if one fails I have two other programs to continue the show. This is the new wave which allows DJ's to be as versatile as technology lets us!
