About Me

Analoga is a multidisciplinary artist in the making! With her expect the unexpected...If you judge a book by it's cover you'll never know her! Everybody's got a story sings Amanda Marshall and she is so right! Even if she never did something she'll try it she is a curious catwoman. She sings, draws, paints would like to do some serious modelling did a bit, acting and has some experience as an extra also where she good watch the pros from the sidelines. She even took lessons to do dangerous film stunts with a professional just to get her adrenaline going she'd love to do that...She loves hand held camera work. One of her trainers told her once that she was the most stable handheld Betacam camera operator in the course and that her images spoke for themselves. La federation de l'humour de l'Université Laval came to recruit her to take part. She likes rock, blues, soul, gospel, jazz... In her mp3 player you could find so much different styles. She listens to and admires Tina Turner, Whitney Houston (Greatest Love of all) Led Zeppelin, Nanette Workman, Lulu Hughes, Dan Bigras, Chris Cornell, Pink, Shania Twain, some Madonna, Ann Peebles, Melissa Etheridge, Mary J. Blige, Jonas, Dawn Tyler Watson, Bon Jovi, Led Zeppelin, Susan Tedeschi, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Mahalia Jackson, Amanda Marshall, Sue Foley, KT Tunstall to name a few. Many people that she jammed with or that are listed in her top friends on her myspace are people she admires. She really loves many kinds of music, artists and inspiring words and positive people! Analoga likes supporting good causes likethe Animal Rescue Network www.animalrescuenetwork.organd Amnesty International...www.amnesty.orgShe was born near Quebec city. She started singing around the house for friends and family like many others do. Then first stepped on a stage at high school doing theatre and just being on stage looking straight out and performing for a crowd got her adrenaline going! She knew that it was for her! Analoga was interested in the technical aspect of theatre and cinema so then finally did studies in Fine Arts specialized in film production at Concordia University also know now as the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. She worked for as a stagehand by night, in a photography studio by day with kids and their families. Passed by Quebec city doing handheld camera work with tha boys, research and post-production assistant and Production secretary for different documentary production houses. Filmed and edited some educational Videos . Gave workshops to youth in a summer camp to do news reports and offered beginning and intermediate theater workshops. She sometimes wonders why she didn't study in music. It picks her up when she is low and sets Analoga's spirit free when she is happy. This is how she has always lets off steam. Performing is a real high she is addicted! Her first group at Cegep-François-Xavier Garneau in Quebec city was called Black Heaven and they were two women doing a tribute to Led Zeppelin. She listened more to mostly 80s hard rock then anything else growing up then later on, made her way back from Led Zeppelin to further back to discover the blues legends that preceeded. When she came to Montreal she became a dedicated listener of the radio show Black Cat Alley on CHOM every sunday to learn her roots and did her own research. Claire Vezina coached her voice in a workshop while she was at cegep. Analoga was coached on percussions by Kamouto that played at the time in the Quebec scene with Ricardo Velozo and his band. The Respectables musicians also came to coach the guys at Cegep Françoix-Xavier-Garneau on guitar and bass. The next year a new group was formed with the same name in the school context and they did a tribute to Women of Rock! Analoga then took part in a choir called Crescendo in Charlesbourg, Qc. She danced and sang in that group. Also did shows for the Quebec Carnaval with them. She then took some private singing lessons with Line Poirier that works at Prochant and will continue to learn in the future because she sing by instinct and knows that talent is not the only thing needed to succeed in this business! Analoga was later in a classic rock band named Allea in Montreal. She did some shows with Ana & the Cool Cats a blues/rock band. But now is learning a lot with the People's Gospel Choir of Montreal. They keep her grounded. You may see her at times in a special role in the choir at the front. Analoga has a new project going. You you can see her sometimes jamming with friends at the Bistro a Jojo www.bistroajojo.com in Downtown Montreal. Analoga says: "Music heals and soothes my soul! See ya at one of my shows or yours! I am collaborating with other artists right now to step out of my box...I face my fears one at the time. Lots of interesting projects in the air! Good vibes! I am working and learning my craft! I want to go up the ladder one step at a time!
