About Me

Hello sober Earthlings!Mane Azeem is.....an Emcee, a poet, a producer, a graphic artists, an actor, a screenwriter, novelist, video game programmer and data bank for entertainment information. Started rhyming in 1983 after hearing "My Addidas" by Run DMC. The rhythum was too intense to forget, and I found myself freestyling day in and day out in an attempt to reach the ultimate level of mic control. This goal is, I now find, unobtainable. One can only hope to be a contributor to the Hip Hop movement, but submission can never be made to the rhyme. Music was here from the 1st sounds the universe emitted and shall remain long after the polar ice caps melt....therefore....how can one hope to obtain the secrets of the eternal. I have been featured in several short films including, "The Rose" , "The Case" & "The Foundations of Funk" as seen on PBS. Wrote my first novel at the age of 15 entitled "Sam", a glimpse into the mind of a man slowly becoming detached from reality. I am currently in the process of writing my 1,000 plus page novel entitled, "Eyes 4 and I" a horror story about a young mother who gets haunted by the 3 ghosts of her previously aborted children. Spooky shit! After becoming a fan of AM Talk Radio for years, I have produced several skits and musical pieces for many local Los Angels radio shows. The Terry Anderson Show on 870 KRLA and The Ask Mr. KABC Show on 790 KABC are just a few examples of these works. After a short stunt as a Quality Assurance Tester for ACTIVISION, I began emulating PS2 titles and creating my own games based on Hip Hop and Samurai Legend. I have recorded over 375 songs and probably have another 200 that have yet to be recorded. My first release was a collaboration album for Music Madness Productions entitled "Welcome to the Madness", where I hosted 3 of the hottest songs on the 15 song release. My next album was another collaboration for EXES ENTERTAINMENT where 4 of my songs were featured. This label was very happy with the success of my singles and immediately signed me to a deal. Thru this deal came my first solo release: Mane Azeem's normaPHOBIA, which is available at Amazon, CDBaby and various other online music stores. After leaving this chicken-shit little label, I continued to work with Lee Labellarte at AUDIO PICASO STUDIOS in LaHabra (check my friends list for the link), where I recorded and self released my second solo album: Mane Azeem's RAINY DAY SUNSHINE, which did very well for a self release. I have worked with and have songs with such artist as Tommy Gunn, Tenacious D, Beenie Segal, etc. I am currently working on my next solo release: Mane Azeem's CLAUSTRAfornia, so stay tuned for that. Over 100 songs of mine are available for free download at www.SoundClick.com/maneazeem. Yeah...I'd like some money for my talent, but after it's all said and done....a real man keeps true to his passion, whether he's paid for it or not.

Bio-Cultured Music.... BELIEVE it oR Not?

I was at a record store the other day. Sike! Seriously, I couldn't tell you the name of a record store if my life or reputation depended on it. Does that make me less of an EMCEE, or director if yo...
