Kerri Lynn is a Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, and Recording Artist originally from Buffalo, NY. She was singing and dancing at a young age and performed with local theater and dance companies. At the age of 16 following a near death experience, Kerri Lynn was inspired to pursue a career in singing and performance.
After high school, she studied Voice and Musical Theater on scholarship at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA. At the age of 19, she moved to NYC to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she was given their highest level scholarship. She received extensive training in Voice, Dance, Acting, Film, and Television and was the featured performer at her final showcase.
Upon graduation, Kerri Lynn worked on a national tour with StorySalad performing children’s music theater. After her completion of the tour, she landed a role in the 25th Anniversary National Tour as a “Swing†and Understudy for the lead role of Grizabella in the 2003-2004 tour of CATS. She later went on to play Bombalurina and understudied the role of Grizabella, in a regional production of CATS at the Media Theater outside of Philadelphia, PA. In the spring of 2006, she was invited to rejoin the Broadway national tour where she played the role of Jellylorum the Opera Cat.
For the last 3 years Kerri Lynn has been working with music producer Mike Warner from Eternal Source Productions/Atlantic Records both in New York City and Jersey City writing and recording original music, and has released her debut album MY LIFE in online stores and soon local music stores. Kerri is in the process of writing new songs for her next album after "My Life" is released which will add rock flair into her existing R&B style of music. She is privileged to have cowritten two of her songs with singer/songwriter Tenesha Blacks who has worked with artists such as Destiny’s Child and Patti Labelle. Kerri Lynn was featured in the 2008 December issue of Music's Rising Stars online magazine and also her single "ON IT" was in the Top Ten Unsigned Hype Countdown for 5 consecutive weeks in a row on 93.7 WBLK Buffalo's 1 Station for Hip Hop & R&B. She performs in Western New York with Naughty Dawg Band as the lead singer and is working towards her next dream of putting together a show featuring her original music where she can showcase not only her singing abilities but dancing as well. She is currently on staff as Assistant Artistic Director at Performing Arts Dance & Supplies outside of Buffalo N.Y. where she also teaches dance, musical theater, and private voice.She holds her dreams close to her heart and believes that with God, “all things are possible.â€
