Musica Tradicional d’Ayande

Música Tradicional d'Ayande is a special CD. The music included on it is an assortment of traditional dance tunes and songs from County Ayande, in the western part of Asturies.
Música Tradicional d’Ayande consists of:
- Xosé Ambás -vocals- One of the greatest singers of Asturies, deeply rooted in the folk music tradition. His archive of traditional music is one of the biggest and most complete of Asturies. He's also the singer of the band Tuenda and N'Arba.
- Diego Pangua -flutes- One of the most appreciated and respected young folk musicians of Asturies, Diego was born into a famous family of pipers. Here he plays flutes. Both individually and in collaboration with various ensembles like Felpeyu he shows daily his good work.
- Dolfu R. Fernández -fiddles, viola, nyckelharpa and backing vocals- He's a fiddler who has been working within the Asturian traditional music scene for more than ten years. Dolfu's mother family were singers and he adapts this singing style to his own fiddling. Dolfu has also contributed in a constructive way to the rebirth of the Asturian fiddle tradition. Actually, he plays in La Bandina’l Tombo and DRD.
The album was recorded in 2006 with special guests: Manolo "Aires d'El Palo" (accordion), Rubén Bada (bouzouki) and Sergio Rodríguez (bass)
