Get Code | Create Your Own!L'ora, meaning 'of the hour' in Spanish seemed the perfect name for this talented young DJ when first starting out on the London club scene.....................................Having first been driven to the decks whilst out partying with friends, L'ora discovered her passion for the latino and funky, soulful sounds simply by, "Feeling the excitement right down to my bones."...................................L'ora moved to London from her homeland, Durban, South Africa, at the tender age of 17 to, "Find something more." Working in London's vibrant clubland for the next few years gave her a front row seat in witnessing what made the best nights out for these clubbers... THE SOUNDS...............Having befriended many people in the music business, L'ora found that nothing topped the buzz of being in the ultimate VIP room... THE DJ BOOTH!!!!..............................Friends saw it in her eyes that she just HAD to DJ! So one of her closest friends bought her her very first mixer. Then L'ora put all of her money into buying her first set of decks. Finding that she had a natural flair, she then spent hours practising and perfecting her skills before finding herself playing her first set at London's exclusive Mayfair club. DJ L'ORA WAS BORN...................................Here L'ora was spotted by a promoter who had her whisked to St. Tropez to play a series of gigs to the elite crowds both in clubs and yacht parties, sailing around The Med..........Since then there's no stopping L'ora bringing her sexy, uplifting party sound to the masses both nationally and internationally. Travelling to Hong Kong, Spain, Saltzberg, Oslo and even finding time to return to her hometown in South Africa to rock the clubs..............................She even caught the eye of MTV who flew her to Lanzarote to rock 2,000 people at a party for Puma. That summer also took L'ora to Majorca where she was invited to play as a guest DJ at The Bed Bar and the exclusive Windmill Club...L'ora continued on to be given a monthly residency at the famous Kristall paries held in Vienna and Pommery Champagne took a huge interest, asking her to play for their recently introduced 'Pink Pop' parties in Salzburg..................In 2005, L'ora was spotted by Lyme FM whilst playing at her weekly residency at private members' club, The Wellington Knightsbridge. They invited her join them at the annual World Music Conference 2006 in Miami to play a string of parties with other DJ's such as DJ Heather, Justin Harris and house music legend, Robert Owens... He loved her sound so much that he asked her to join him on the decks at one of London's house music hotspots, The Egg. Also through Lyme FM, L'ora played her first set in Ibiza at Love Club........The demand for DJ L'ora in London is constant with Lipglosz, The Wellington Club, Penthouse, Mortons, Abigail's Party, Lequippe Anglais, Funky Buddah, No. 5 Cavendish Square, AKA,The End,The Cross,Fabric, Opium, 57 Jermyn Street,Maddox,Fiction,Low Profile,Profile,The Edge,Raffles and Cocoon. L'ora can currently be found at her weekly residencies at Raffles, Molton House and Mortons. Lora has been very well received on the gay scene and you can currently catch her at a variety of some of the best loved gay nights, including Fiction @ the Island, The edge Bar, Profile Bar and also Discotech at the End.The highlight of L'ora's 2006 was winning the title of the Movida Corona London DJing Championship. With this title she went on to represent London at the UK Final at the world famous Ministry of Sound in London..........................Lora has recently found a New following in New Delhi India, where you can catch her spinning to the locals at Club Agni on a bi Monthly Basis!!June 2008 saw Lora Taking her talents to another level. She spent 2 weeks in Malaysia filming a Documentary which is still to be shown on Channel 5.Laura was given the privlidge in October 2008 to Dj for Simon Le Bons 50th birthday and things just seem to be getting better..Laura has recently taken on a new Residency with the infamous club night Kidolody. 2008 saw her spin at clubs such as Pacha, SE1,The Whitehouse and Scala. with world famous djs such as Mark Wilkinson, Bodyrox, Princess Superstar and many other fabulous Guests...Kidology have become so successful, Worldfamous club El Divino invited Kidology to take residency for the Summer 2008 in Ibiza, were Lora was lucky enough to spin a hot summers night away..Is there any stopping DJ L'ora???
