RITCHIE began recording STRANGER IN THE GRASS after receiving a grant from F.A.C.T.O.R. for his hit "La Isla de Montreal" winning 3rd spot in BILLBOARD MAGAZINE's 10th annual international songwriting competition... also nominated top finalist at the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS for "Down Below" in UNISONG's international song competition... STRANGER IN THE GRASS voted TOP 40 CD for STONEWALL SOCIETY'S OUTVOICE, January, February, March and April of 2007...

He studied in Montreal at TREBAS Institute of Recording Arts, and received honour's in Literature and Creative Writing, and Education, from Concordia University 1996
