___ Biography of Thoz 1 Guyz___ HOW IT ALL STARTED- Thoz 1 Guyz was formed by Adam Martinez and Josh Pacheco. Josh saw Adam one day and remembered Adam played guitar asked if he still played. Adam said he was still playing and was always looking for new people to jam with. They exchanged info and met up later and the band was formed. Josh was with the band until July 2006 when Josh left the band to spend time with his new found family. ____________________________________________________________ _ LINE UP CHANGES- We've had many line-up changes with members leaving and joining. First we acquired Jaymz Martinez on bass(and we still have him to this day). Jaymz was left handed but played a right handed bass upside down(it's really a site to see). The only thing missing was a drummer. That's when Jared Rodriguez came into the picture to play drums. Then Jared and Josh left the same day to pursue other ventures. We couldn't really find anyone to fit the vibe of the band. Then we acquired Devin Mayer on the drums. We had finally found a drummer with the same attitude and musicality that fit Thoz 1 Guyz. Devin worked with Adam and saw him perform in the last days with Josh and Jared. Adam knew Devin's abilities because the two used to have acoustic jam sessions at work or when hanging out with co-workers. This brings us up to the date. Today Thoz 1 Guyz wouldn't want it any other way. We were thinking of adding another guitarist but we like the way it is. We are a total democracy that switches off on instruments since all of us can play bass, drums, and guitar. Devin brought a better understanding of vocals to the band because of his past experience from his chorus ensamble days. We are now harmonizing a lot of songs now. ____________________________________________________________ _ MUSIC STYLE & THE FUTURE- Thoz 1 Guyz is a band is very eclectic. We all come from different styles and backgrounds. As said before, Adam grew up on old school metal such as Black Sabbath and Metallica. Jaymz grew up with a lot of funk influences such as Earth, Wind, & Fire, and he also loves the band Nirvana. Devin grew up in the days of Generation X with his favorite bands such as Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and most importantly...Alice In Chains! We draw our sound from a lot more musical inspirations such as Prince, Queens of the Stone Age and Offspring. Before we go anywhere we want to record a top notch demo so as many people as possible can hear the eclectic sound of Thoz 1 Guyz. DROP US A LINE PEOPLE.
