i love life and where i'm at right now in it. i'm at the point in my life where i still enjoy going out to the clubs with my friends and dancing till i can't feel my feet, but at the same time i still feel like that whole scene is old. i'd rather go out for a nice dinner and drinks with my girlfriends than be at some club or bar just to have a bunch of drunken idiots try to impress me all night. i'm not hard to please but it takes a lot to impress me, and most always it's the little things that do. i'm very low maintenance and i have a huge heart. i'm more of a giver than a taker, meaning that i do more for others than others do for me mostly because i think soley with my heart. i believe that i am an old soul and i love tradition, and i'm a little old-fashioned when it comes to certain aspects of my life. when i have a family of my own i want to be the person who has all the family get-togethers at her house, hosting all the christmas eve/day and thanksgiving day festivities. is that cheesy?
i graduated from holy family university in philadelphia with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and i currently work for the school district of philadelphia as a kindergarten teacher. needless to say, i'm sure you can tell what my days consists of considering that i spend most of my time with 29 five and six year olds. albeit the craziness, i love my job and what i do; it is such a rewarding and fulfilling career and it's benefits are endless. i love coming home at the end of the day knowing that i am leaving a lasting impression in these children's lives, it is such an amazing feeling.
contrary to the pictures on my page, i'm not living my life in a reality show. i'm actually quite mellow and reserved. i would have to say that i'm probably the quietest one out of my friends and because of that i often get labeled as being a snob, which couldn't be further from the truth. i'm more of a homebody than a partier, and more often than not i'd rather stay at home in my sweats stuffing my face with grub in front of the tv drinking some wine. i am, however, a great drunk dialer. you can best bet that if i have your telephone number i will call you up and sing to you if the DJ and/or band is playing a song that i love. whitney has nothing on me! i'm also well known for knowing how to shake my ass. i pretty much get offered dancing jobs at every club i go to. i guess all of those years of professional dancing paid off, huh?
i'm a bit of a perfectionist and i'm told that i'm slightly anal retentive. i'm a procrastinator and i'm stubborn. i do not like to be told how and when to do things and i don't always follow directions well if i believe that my way is the better way. i will admit that i'm not always the easiest person to get along with due to my stubborness, but for the most part i'm pretty easy going and i can find fun in almost any situation. it's all about who you're with, isn't it? i'm an extremely hard worker and i give everything that i do my 115% whether it's a job, project, idea, or a relationship. i don't like starting something and not finishing it and i'm very passionate about everything that i do. i'm not a quitter. i love reading and learning about history. history absolutely fascinates me, especially the civil war era. i think i may have lived during that era in a past life. being on time is also a huge thing for me. it irks me beyond belief when people are late. i'm smart and i'm witty, and i don't take myself too seriously and i love that about myself.
