Cashvilles own Rukuz AKA The Flipside Vet AKA Semaj Caddopeliz does'nt consider himself a rapper even though he dropped his first rhyme back in '96 and has since become one of the most respected MC's in his area.He began freestyling to empower himself and mentally escape the harsh surroundings of Taft juvenile prison.Upon release from the institution he continued his newfound hobby in an effort to avoid getting caught back up in the activities which resulted in his incarceration.Rapping was also a way for him to stay connected to the streets he represents.The streets of east Nashville where he was born & raised.The streets he embraced & which embraced him back.Rukuz doesn't consider himself a rapper so much as a spokesperson for the inhabitants of the blocks & buildings,the alleys & breezeways,the avenues & boulevards which are the STREETS.With that said it's obvious that his intentions were never to become the kind of rap artist only concerned with gaining fame & riches from a fabricated image.Real recognize real and the flipside vet lacks no recognition.Having his heart in the right place has helped Rukus recieve back the same kind of love he has shown.As the co-CEO & starring artist of Game Green Ent. he & his partner King Kong have moved over 10,000 units independantly.They have been hard on the grind promoting outside of their hometown in Atlanta,Memphis,Kentucky,Alabama & Mississippi.The Flipside Vet is also the CEO of Flipside Records wich has gained a considerable buzz from the release of three underground mixtapes.
